The injector system uses finely coordinated pressure

The combination of blast agent and pressure delivers the required result

Injector systems can be distinguished by virtue of two different functional principles. One is the suction principle, while the other is the gravitation system.

Injector system with suction principle

The blast systems from SIGG are manufactured to use the suction principle. The blast gun is connected via a rubber suction hose to the blast agent funnel in the injector system. Inside the blast gun is the blast nozzle. A vacuum is created here, which creates a suction effect. Expressed in simple terms, the blast agent is sucked out of the material funnel into the blast gun - the volume of blast agent available in the blast gun depends on the power of the vacuum. The material funnel is located below the blast cabin. The blast agent is transferred to the injector system by the jet of compressed air and transported through the blast nozzle. The blast nozzle therefore comprises three parts: compressed air, the blast agent and the secondary air that enters the system as a result of the blast agent being sucked up. The blast agent then exits the injector system through the blast gun at high speed in a thin, slightly fan-shaped jet. The blasting process is usually controlled in the case of manually operated blasting cabins via a foot switch.

Injector system with gravitation principle

With this system type too, the blast agent is accelerated in the blast gun according to the injector principle. Unlike the suction method, however, the blast agent container is located in this case above the blast cabin. This allows the blast agent to flow into the blast gun with the help of gravity. Both methods can be operated in a cycle. The blast agent can be recovered and returned to the supply container, allowing it to be reused for another blasting process.
