Nut shells are a completely natural product

Blasting with nut shells - a good solution, especially for sensitive surfaces. Nut shells left over as a by-product of nut harvesting - such as walnut shells - are used. The shells are cleaned, ground and sifted into even grain sizes. They are then available for use as a blasting agent and can be obtained in 25 kg sacks. Blasting with nut shells produces little dust, thereby protecting the environment and employees alike.

Gentle cleaning of sensitive surfaces

Blasting with nut shells is especially gentle on softer surfaces. Varnishes, paints or coatings can be removed with the shells without harming the surface underneath. The shells are especially light and soft. Plastic parts, rubber, machined brass parts or aluminium components can be blasted and reliably de-burred with nut shells. Nut shells are also a good choice for the matt finishing of plastic surfaces. Especially finely ground nut shells are also used as cleaning agents in hand washing pastes.

Blasting with nut shells is an alternative to inorganic blast agents especially for the aviation or automotive industry. After all, more than almost any other material, the shells ensure that the dimensional accuracy of the parts is preserved.
