Dust separators provide vacuum and a clear view
Dust-free air thanks to strong filters
Even during the operation of the blasting systems by SIGG Strahltechnik, lots of dust is accumulated and must be separated for recycling or disposal by means of filters. SIGG Strahltechnik keeps dust separators with pocket and cartridge filters in various size and performance classes in its portfolio. Blasting systems must always be equipped with dust separators. Firstly, because the air in the working area must not be hazardous to health due to dusts, secondly, a clear view during the blasting process is of vital importance.
Dust separators filter coarse and fine dust
The dust separator ensures that the circulating blasting abrasive and blasted materials are removed by the ascending sifter. Dust separators by SIGG Strahltechnik are furnished with dust containers or trays to collect the separated material.
Heavy dusts end up in the tray
The dust air to be cleaned, at first, reaches the pre-separator. There, primarily heavy dust particles are removed and collected in the tray. The remaining fine dust subsequently settles on the textile pocket filters composed of needle felt and is effectively filtered out. The clean air, conveyed by means of the ventilator, exits laterally from the filter and is returned to the working area.
Filters are tapped clean
The cleaning of dust separator filters is carried out with a manually operated tapping device. This is done manually by means of a rotary handle, which is operated with the ventilator stationary. Other models, such as cartridge filters, take over automatically by pushing a button for compressed air impact. For this purpose, the filter part of this type is furnished with a compressed air tank. The compressed air impacts are released through a magnetic valve. The cleaning intervals can be controlled by a time relay and adjusted as required.
Pocket filters by SIGG Strahltechnik are suitable for dust and chip vacuuming and feature high separation efficiency as well as excellent suction power. Further benefits include the pocket filter’s compact design and the three-phase-motor appropriate for permanent operation. Pocket filters recommend themselves for applications in the machine industry, the surface technology, the plastics processing or the electronic engineering.
